Housing Assistance

Working with families to prevent homelessness and stabilize housing. Housing navigation is available to help secure affordable housing and, if eligible, to provide assistance for security deposits, rental assistance or rental arrearage.

VCAP Reach

  • CVOEO opened a Community Resource Center and is operating an Street Outreach Team for those experiencing homelessness
  • VCAP agencies provided direct service to the homeless in hotel settings
  • 828 home repairs were provided by Community Action Agencies
  • 1,480 individuals experiencing homeless were helped to find permanent housing during the pandemic

VCAP Annual Impact

  • 121 Vermonters experiencing homelessness were provided emergency housing
  • 714 Vermonters obtained safe, affordable and permanent housing
  • 479 received security deposits
  • 1,207 received rental assistance
