Housing Assistance

Working with families to prevent homelessness and stabilize housing. Housing navigation is available to help secure affordable housing and, if eligible, to provide assistance for security deposits, rental assistance or rental arrearage.

VCAP Reach

  • CVOEO opened a Community Resource Center and is operating an Street Outreach Team for those experiencing homelessness and is operating 2 homeless shelters
  • 1,252 home repairs were provided by Community Action Agencies
  • 803 individuals experiencing homeless worked with Community Action Agencies to find permanent housing

VCAP Annual Impact

  • 337 Vermonters experiencing homelessness were provided emergency housing
  • 943 Vermonters obtained safe, affordable and permanent housing
  • 482 received security deposits
  • 1,143 received rental assistance
